We are situated close to Wolseley and Ceres. Just over an hour's drive from Cape Town. Self-catering cottages

The excitement is building as we count down to Saturday’s sold-out Salt of the Earth at Seven Oaks.

This unique, unpretentious fine-dining experience returns with Chef Beau du Toit at the helm, bringing the vibrant flavours, aromas, and energy of Thailand to the table. Beau is one half of the acclaimed The Salt Road, alongside Craig Cormack, a familiar favourite with our Salt of the Earth guests.

This deep garnet coloured and full-bodied Merlot opens with the warmth of ripe red fruits, rounded off with a hint of vanilla. On the palate, a steady cadence of cherries and plums blends with quiet, earthy notes and a hint of smoky wood. It has easy-drinking tannins and a long, velvet-soft finish. Perfectly matched with herb-crusted lamb chops. Because lamb naturally loves Merlot, the rosemary and thyme crust beautifully coaxes out the wine’s subtle, vegetative undertones.
