Follow Your Passion
We all have a burning desire to follow something larger than ourselves.
Definition: “any intense feeling or emotion such as anger or hatred.”
The important point is to not just follow your passion but something larger than yourself. It ain't just about you and your damn passion.
“Follow” implies that you discover the passion in advance then go match it to a job. At which point, you’re done.
“Cultivate” implies that you work toward building a passion for your job. This is a longer process but it is way more likely to pay dividends. It requires you to approach your work like a craftsman. Honing your ability, and then leveraging your value, once good, to shape your working life toward the type of lifestyle that resonates with you.
We are seldom true to ourselves. One of the worst scenarios is when people are locked into jobs which they really dislike and it becomes a trauma to up every morning. If that is your situation, it is really a tragic circumstance and you'll never become a millionaire.
Why is it important?
To achieve success and riches, you must find out what your great driving passion is and then go out and do it. You must know yourself sufficiently well to know what you love doing. A lot of people don't have a clue as to what they want to do and you must make sure that you are not one of them.
Millionaires come in all shapes and sizes but one thing is for certain. They find out what they really love doing and then dedicate themselves to that field. They know themselves well enough to know what they love to do and what they really enjoy doing. And this usually also is an indication of their natural talents.
You will find that when you follow your passion your talents will form a good alignment to what you love doing. The converse is also manifest. If you're good at something you usually enjoy doing it and your passion and talents seed with one another.
If you follow your passion your job becomes easier and much less tedious. Time flies by and before you know it you have achieved something worthwhile and enjoyed it in the process.
Work will never feel like hard work because you will be having fun and you will be totally absorbed in the fascinating activity that will excite you and give you energy. And this is a tremendous advantage on your competition.
Do you remember doing an activity that is totally blissful to you and you lost track of time and space? Well, that is probably your passion that you are engaged in.
How do you do this?
So what action should you take now?
Firstly, ask yourself this question:
What would I do if money and time were of no consequence, and I was sure to succeed? Secondly, start setting goals and formulating plans to move you in the direction of your passion. The answer to this question should give you a good idea of what your true passion is.
Conclusion:
Once you've identified the type of work that you love doing you are already one step ahead of the rest. You have made your first moves to becoming a millionaire. You must move to the next step: that of setting goals and plans to move in that direction of your major passion.
