Okay, I have to say it… I told you so. 😂

I have been watching this AI poster trend play out for a while now, and I have been saying for ages that I do not think this is a great direction for branding.

Why on earth would you want to communicate:
- I do not care enough to invest in my marketing...
- I take shortcuts...
- Nothing differentiates me from other brands...
- I just do the same thing that everybody else does...

That is what these posters do!

And now we are seeing the most interesting thing happen: people are deliberately going in the opposite direction.

This recent "handwritten note" trend is the perfect example.

We are in such an interesting transition period with AI right now. I genuinely think we are going to see a bigger shift towards personality, originality and human connection as AI-generated content becomes more and more common.

Where do you think we are heading?

Are we going to get tired of AI content and start craving more human-created content?

Or will AI become so good that eventually we will not care whether something was created by a person or a machine?

Today, your caption, visuals, and keywords tell the algorithm what your content is about. Hashtags reinforce that message.

Instead of using lots of random hashtags, try this simple formula:

1 Brand hashtag
Example:

1 Search hashtag
Example:

1 Product or service hashtag
Example:

1 Community or interest hashtag
Example:

Focus on writing a caption that is valuable, natural, and rich with the words your audience is actually searching for. Then use a handful of relevant hashtags to support that message.
