Barendrecht | Residential Energy Storage & Peak Shaving Solution

SmartVolt delivered a Victron Energy system for a private residence in Oegstgeest, where limited grid capacity prevented the use of a newly built swimming pool designed for the owner’s disabled son. The project focused on overcoming these supply constraints to enable consistent and reliable operation.

Products used:
• 3 × Victron MultiPlus-II 15000 inverter/chargers
• 3 × Victron Multi RS units
• Ekrano GX
• Basen batteries

Completed in 2025, the system was designed to support peak shaving and energy storage, effectively increasing the available power on-site without requiring a grid upgrade. By combining inverter capacity with battery storage, the installation allows higher loads to be managed while maintaining stable performance.

Result:
The available power at the site has more than doubled, enabling full use of the swimming pool and supporting the household’s energy needs without grid limitations.

Installer insight:
Where grid upgrades are not possible, a well-configured energy storage system can provide a practical alternative. Careful system design allows higher demand applications to operate reliably within existing constraints.
