USAID, in partnership with the Chipata Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) held and interactive private sector engagement event at the Chipata Protea Hotel on May 23rd from 9am to 12pm.
At this event, USAID projects in Eastern Province showcased key opportunities they have for the private sector. After which, there was a question-and-answer session and a networking event. We had food and drinks available for all attendees.

On the 24.02.23 CCCI and EPCCI were invited to witness and support the opening of Chipata Industrial Yard. The program begun with Lunch with the Minister of Small and Medium Enterprises - Elias Mubanga, at Protea hotel, Chipata. There after CCCI accompanied the Minister and supporting partners to the industrial yard for the commissioning ceremony.

As stakeholders and advocates of the active particiapation of SME's in the economic plans that the governement of the day has for our great nation, CCCI welcomes the Minister to Chipata District and shows appreciation for this infrastrutal development that will harness the entrepreneurial potential of Chipata District.

The Nchwala ceremony brings thousands of people together and showcases the strength and spirit of the Nguni People from Zambia, Mozambique and Malawi. All roads lead to Chipata and Mutenguleni 😁.

On the 24.02.23 CCCI hosted Nchwala Ceremony Traditional Dinner graced by guest artist Mercy Muzeche and her dancing troops (impi's) at the the New Crystal Springs Hotel, Chipata. What a night to remember filled with good food, drink, music and dance🤗.

Photo focus, the first ever Money Grow vehicle hand over in Eastern Province Chipata held on the 8th Oct 2022 at Great East Mall.

The event was graced by his Worship George Mwanza the Mayor of Chipata, Kapata Ward Councilor, Dilika Ward Councilor, and Chipata Chamber of Commerce and Industry. It was a hot day but the message was delivered. Mr Richard Kumwenda (CCCI President) gave a note of thanks and welcomed Money Grow to Eastern Province, emphasizing the potential that Chipata has to offer and the role that CCCI is playing in the City's Business and Developmental agenda.

On 11.11. 22, Chipata Chamber of Commerce and Industry Executive we hosted the USAID Business Enabling Project (BEP) Team.

The team comprised of Mr Lewis Chimfwembe, Mr Alfred and Mr Paul Phiri and Ms Vuyelwa Mundia (USAID Local Impact Governance). They are in the district to engage with several civil societies on issues concerning Private Sector Institutions and Public Private Dialogue at District and Provincial Levels. The meeting highlighted the need and appreciation for more PPD and more inclusion of women in business dialogue forums.
