Today, October 28, 2025, marks 11 years since the passing of Zambia's 5th Republican President, Michael Chilufya Sata, fondly known as "King Cobra" and a man of action. President Sata passed away on October 28, 2014, leaving behind a legacy of leadership and transformation. As a revered figure in Zambian politics, he was known for his strong stance on various issues and his commitment to improving the lives of Zambians. Faz Eastern province will also announce the general secretary in the coming days as Mr Zondiwe Hara left the office yesterday Friday 15th August 2025.

WHY THE DEFAULT AND PAIN OF SERVICING YOUR LOAN FACILITY.

It's usually common to find someone complaining and regreting to have aquired a loan facility and many blame it on lenders for lack of transparency in the contract.However many feel the pain and eventually start to default due to many reasons which include the following;

1.Excitment to get money yet not understanding the contract. It's always important to appreciate what you are signing for. Some of the things to look out for includes; (2)The loan payback period ,
(3)The total cost of borrowing which should include administrative fees, insurance and also taking note of the interest whether it's fixed like most micro finance institutions or it varies like monetary policy rate with banks.

(4). Multiple borrowing_Its common for people to move from one institution to another and once one realizes that the money borrowed earlier was never utilized accordingly one switches, but this is a trap.stick to one financier,build trust and relationships,make them your primary financial provider.The benefits are huge.In an event of any challenges,your loan can be restructured or even get refinanced.

(5).Falsfying your capacity to service your facility at the point of application by providing fake financial statements, payslips as well as forged business income statements just to enable you access a loan.Remember a lender will base his decision on the supporting document provided but once money is released your real financial position will be exposed when handling the cash.

(6).Loan purpose and diverting of funds_Remember a plan is always there for whatever money you expect,be it a salary, business income or a loan and the moment you decide to do something away from your plan,that's the beginning of problems.Always stick to your intended purpose.

(7).Never get a loan when you don't need it_just because a lender has advertised with very attractive rates should not get you excited, because any money you get when you don't need it has no trace were it's spent yet you have years ahead to repay.

Though the main cause of your pain to service a loan may not be limited to the above,it's always important to seek professional advice and weigh the pros and cons of a loan facility otherwise if not well calculated loan ibaba!
