THE MOPANI STEMBODY360 CATALYZER PROGRAMME
Mopani Copper Mines PLC has initiated the Mopani STEMBody360 Catalyzer Programme, an adolescent girl–centred holistic programme that promotes and enhances girls’ participation in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).
The over US$ 81,000 programme integrates menstrual health and hygiene as a cross-cutting innovation component to strengthen girls’ confidence, participation, and leadership in STEM. It also aims to support:
• Gender equality
• Career progression
• Entrepreneurship and innovation in STEM
• Holistic well-being through menstrual health education and innovation
PROGRAMME REACH
• 334 girls have been onboarded from 25 schools in Kitwe and Mufulira
• 34 programme mentors have also been selected
