The media plays a critical role in the National Biosafety Authority (NBA) mandate to ensure the safety of humans, animals, and the environment. By acting as a bridge between the Authority and the public, the media facilitates the dissemination of accurate information regarding the regulation of Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs) and the importance of complying to the Biosafety Act No. 10 of 2007. The NBA recognizes that effective communication is the cornerstone of regulatory compliance. The Authority's recent mission to Sesheke District was bolstered by a strong collaborative effort with key media houses and communication experts to ensure our safety message reached every corner of the community.

A team of NBA staff lead by the Chief Executive Officer Mr Lackson Tonga this morning paid a courtesy call on Sesheke DC Mr. Alex Namenda. The team is in the district on official duty. The engagement with the DC was designed to align national biosafety policies with local administration efforts as well as strengthening the working relationship between the NBA and district administration to safeguard human, animal, and environmental health. Mr Tonga also presented an information pack to Mr Namenda.
