We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join the Insight Fuel team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the company’s financial records, payroll, budgeting, reconciliations, and compliance obligations. This role is critical in ensuring accurate financial reporting, effective cost control, and sound financial planning to support business growth.

# # Key Responsibilities
# # # Payroll Management
* Prepare and process monthly payroll accurately and on time.
* Ensure statutory deductions (PAYE, NAPSA, NHIMA, etc.) are correctly calculated and remitted.
* Maintain up-to-date payroll records and address payroll-related queries from staff.
# # # Budgeting & Financial Planning
* Prepare and manage monthly and annual budgets.
* Monitor actual expenses against budget and provide variance analysis.
* Support management with financial forecasts and cash flow planning.
# # # Reconciliation & Financial Control
* Reconcile business expenses, bank statements, and cash accounts on a regular basis.
* Reconcile fuel disbursements, fuel vouchers, and driver repayments.
* Ensure accurate recording of income, expenses, and receivables.
# # # Compliance Planning & Payments
* Ensure full compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
* Prepare and submit tax returns and statutory filings within required timelines.
* Plan and manage compliance payments to avoid penalties and interest.
# # # Reporting & Record Keeping
* Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
* Maintain proper accounting records and supporting documentation.
* Provide financial reports and insights to management as required.
# # # Collaboration & Support
* Work closely with operations, sales, and customer support teams to resolve financial discrepancies.
* Support audits and provide required financial information.
* Perform other finance- and accounting-related duties as assigned.

# # Qualifications & Experience
* Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
* Professional accounting qualification (ZICA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) is an added advantage.
* Proven experience in an accounting or finance role.
* Strong understanding of payroll, budgeting, reconciliations, and compliance requirements.
* Experience in lending, fuel management, or service-based businesses is a plus.
