This week the JSM Quality Academy team had the honor of attending the first ever investment meeting by Wesgro, the event took place in Lusaka Zambia from 26 -28 October 2022 and was organized by the Zambia Development Agency under the Ministry of Commerce & Trade, as one of its mandate to promote investment and trade between the two countries Zambia and South Africa.

WESGRO was in Zambia to share the many opportunities available as it is the official tourism, trade and investment promotion agency for Cape Town and the Western Cape of South Africa.

The Agency is the first point of contact for foreign buyers, local exporters and investors wishing to take advantage of the unlimited business potential in the region.

It works closely with key players including the national, provincial and local government. Its mandate is to facilitate foreign and domestic direct investment into the region; exports of products and services through development of export capability, demand and market access; and to promote Cape Town and the Western Cape as a viable business, leisure and film destination.

The 3 days event was a great opportunity for many business owners, as the event was all about creating investment opportunities between the two countries.

The event discussed many issues of investment opportunities and corroborations that can strengthen business growth in the two countries.

Great business networks were born too.

Day two & three of the 13th African Union Private Forum which took in place in Lusaka Zambia at the Mulungushi International center was a great opportunity for me and many other business owners.

With the theme “The Role of Private Sector towards increasing Investment in Energy & Agribusiness to upscale Productive Capacities & Industrialization drive in Africa”.

The forum was a chance to discuss many issues that are affecting the African Continent and how they can be mitigated.

The event had a number of activities some of which were business pitches,business awards and show casing of products & services of various business owners.

Great business networks from across Africa were born too.
