THE ISSUE OF ZAMBIAN BROKE RAP ARTISTS DISSING FELLOW ARTISTS DOING WAY BETTER THAN THEM, CALLING THEMSELVES HIP HOP ARTISTS IS LAUGHABLE-Talk of Drifta Trek, talk of Aqualaskin: what's their net worth? Tell me how many paid shows these guys have had in their careers with Hip Hop Beats.... ?
Aaah, they're still upcoming and not established, but it's okay-we can afford listening to their baby raps. They're not that bad....
Firstly, let me give credit to Aqualaskin's "Bladi Spoti"-Wyfl Riddim: it proves that Aqua is 10 times better than Drifta, at the same time 100 times lesser than Slapdee. No Zambian rapper has ever done it better than Slapdee. Take it or leave it, a debate for another day.
I know others are like what Hip Hop song has Slapdee done? Are you sure you know what Hip Hop is?
Let's talk about it, I mean let's stick to Drifta and Aqua. The question for rappers is that, how many artists in Zambia have been booked to go and perform a diss song?
Have you ever listened to Slapdee ft. Koby (video ft. Macky 2)- New Day: particularly, the line in the first verse, "nilangize rapper who made much, anachokamo na ma nyumba..."
Why do you think Macky 2 and Slapdee had to quit that s**t?
Hip Hop in Zambia is for an audience that can't afford to pay for a show. The rappers only get the hype on the socials and it remains there. So, I only hope Drifta Trek has better songs in his "Unfinished Business" album that would bring him business. I saw him posting something like he's working with Roberto, that's good. It's very important to have a beat mix in any successful Rap album. wrote
