DAY THREE AT THE 2026 ZAMBIA INTERNATIONAL TRADE FAIR
Today, the Kariba Minerals Limited team welcomed a steady stream of visitors eager to not only discover Zambia’s world-renowned amethyst, but to learn how Kariba Minerals Limited is contributing to Zambia’s gemstone mining and value addition agenda.
The day was highlighted by the visit of the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Mines and Minerals Development, Dr. Hapenga Kabeta, accompanied by the Director General of the Minerals Regulation Commission, Dr. Tom Hara. During their visit, the delegation took time to learn about Kariba Minerals Limited’s operations and our interpretation of this year’s Zambia International Trade Fair theme. Dr Kabeta commended Kariba Minerals for diversifying beyond gemstone mining and going into localized value addition which helps create responsible value throughout the gemstone value chain.
The ZCCM-IH Board Chairperson, Mr Phesto Musonda also visited the ZCCM-IH pavilion. During his visit, he commended the team on delivering an exceptional interpretation of this year’s theme to visitors at the on-going trade fair in Ndola.
The Kariba Minerals team also had the pleasure of engaging with business leaders from various sectors, gemstone enthusiasts, members of the general public as well as young but inquisitive school children. Our visitors explored our exquisite range of jewelry made from amethyst and other colored gemstones, while gaining a deeper appreciation of how Kariba Minerals is adding value to Zambia’s natural resources and supporting national economic development.
If you are in Ndola during the on-going trade fair, we invite you to visit the ZCCM-IH Pavilion and stop by the Kariba Minerals Limited exhibition space to discover how we are bridging markets and building the future through Zambia’s finest Mapatizya amethyst.
We look forward to welcoming you.
