At XCentaur, we are all about igniting mindset shifts and fostering strategic connections through networking and relationship building. On Wednesday 27th March 2024, we once again collaborated with CC Gabriel & Co Legal Practitioners in organising and hosting the 5th Business and the Law Knowledge Café. While delving into the importance of "Licensing and Regulatory Compliance: Staying on the Right Side of the Law", we also emphasized the significance of building relationships and partnerships through dialogue and shared insights. Key takeaways included recognizing that compliance is not just as a legal obligation but has a strategic advantage for business growth and understanding the value of collaborative efforts in navigating regulatory challenges.

We would like to extend our gratitude to all the participants for their valuable contributions and engagement and to our partner CC Gabriel & Co Legal Practitioners for facilitating the café.

Guess what? The networking doesn't stop here! We will continue to explore how the law can illuminate the path to sustained entrepreneurial growth and impact at the 6th Business and the Law Knowledge Café which is scheduled for 24th April 2024. We look forward to meaningful conversations leading to deep business connections and impactful collaborations.

After a brief haitus, the Business and the Law Knowledge Cafe. On 31st January 2024, we picked up where we left off and held the 3rd Knowledge cafe in our 10 part series. The Cafe was organised in conjunction with CC Gabriel & Co Legal Practitioners in pursuit of our shared vision of an Africa where enterprises sustain wealth beyond generations.

Inspiring growth oriented enterpreneurs and other entrepreneurial ecosystem players joined together at Chinnis Bar and Restaurant in Rhodespark Lusaka, to share their insights and experiences and to gain a deeper understanding on the crucial role that legal documentation plays in the success of a business. The Cafe also provided an opportunity for expanding business networks.

A huge thanks to all the participants for carving time out of their busy schedules to contribute to this collective surfacing of
knowledge. The conversations that resulted were deep and meaningful. In the words of Michel De Montaigne " the most fruitful and natural exercise for our minds is, in my opinion, conversation".

We look forward to hosting the next Business and the Law Knowledge Cafe this month to facilitate conversations about "Legal Entities and Liability: Getting the Business Structure Right". See you then!

On 30th September 2022, we organised the 2nd Knowledge Cafe in the 10 part series of the Business and the Law Knowledge Cafe. The Cafe was resourced by CC Gabriel & Company Legal Practitioners in pursuit of our shared vision of an Africa where Enterprises sustain wealth beyond generations.

Vision driven and growth oriented enterpreneurs and other entrepreneurial ecosystem players joined together at Mpoto Yathu in Lusaka, to share their insights and experiences and to gain a deeper understanding of the options available for financing their businesses. The Cafe also provided an opportunity for expanding business networks.

The business and the Law cafe is fulcrumed on our appreciation that the law governs and regulates virtually all aspects of the business process from formation to exit and provides strategies and safeguards that can be exploited to facilitate sustained business growth. Hence we endeavour to explore various aspects of the relationship between business and the Law. We believe that this exploration, will empower businesses to leverage the law as a tool for growth.

Thank you to our conversationalists for lending their time to this collective surfacing of knowledge. Michel De Montaigne's hit the nail on the head when he averred that the "most fruitful and natural exercise for our minds is, in my opinion, conversation". We ever that the active exercise of our minds is a prerequisite to businesses that stand the test of time. We heard your clarion call to hold monthly cafes. While we put logistics in place to heed this call, we will be hosting our next Knowledge Cafe in November 2022. See you then!

The words of Ameen Rihani ring true "The footsteps of a pioneer become ultimately the highway of a nation." Your pioneering spirits will definitely build this nation. Thank you.
