Winners of the 10th SOTAMBE Zambia International Film Festival in the following categories: Best Feature Film Southern Africa: Can you see us, Best Cinematography Southern Africa: Ngoda and Best Short Film Southern Africa: Usiliye have selected one member from their production team to receive 3 months online course at the Arts & Business Center sponsored by our partner Pavillon Afriques! And what is even more encouraging is that all selected members are women ❤️❤️❤️
As a growing film festival in Southern African region, we emphasize the importance of connections and business opportunities in the film industry locally, regionally and internationally, and we are extremely grateful for the partnership with Pavillon Afriques that does an amazing job to promote African content at Festival de Cannes, and link African producers with international investors and partners. We hope to bring many more opportunities to Southern African Filmmakers through our joint partnership.
The producer of Ngoda, Ms Malaika Mushandu shared that her background is film directing and acting. “I aspire to have a wholistic view and appreciation of above the line film production jobs. It is my belief that with the knowledge from a professional online course such as this one, an improvement to the productions I partake in will be the end result. There will be less limitations to bringing what I envision to life and I’m grateful to SOTAMBE Zambia International Film Festival and Pavillon Afriques for their collaboration granting us this opportunity.”
