A certain family was having dinner. Their 6years
old daughter started telling a story
daughter: On our way back from school we saw
daddy with a girl.
Daddy: Don't talk with food in your mouth.
Mum: Let her talk.
Daughter: Daddy you went in the bush but we
followed you then you started kissing and

Daughter: They started doing what you do with
Uncle Paul when Daddy is not around.
Mum: remember Daddy said don't talk with food

My wife and I have been married for 5 years now and we have 2 kids together though I also have another child, a son whose 7 years old with another woman. My wife and I have been having problems and her family doesn’t really seem to help much because all the times I’ve complained nothing much is done. When we got married my wife did not have any issues with the son I have with my ex, infact she was the one who suggested that we get him as the mother was not doing well and used to bother about money and all that. So we took him in and all was okay. But the last 2 years it’s been rough really. It started with my neighbor who complained about the words my wife use when talking to my son especially when he has done something wrong. After a while I received a similar report when I asked her she just brushed it off. For me I can admit that I never saw her mistreat my son but only people could talk. When I asked her whether she has a problem with my son she refused. Days went by and I started noticing some changes in my son’s behavior. He was never free so I called my wife to talk to her about it and you know women, our talk couldn’t go well. I just decided to let go. We started having misunderstandings and she could blame it on my son but when I suggest that I take my son to my family she refused. She stopped paying school fees for him, buying him clothes and sometimes he could stay home without eating. When I ask her she could just say he was full. So I just started paying for his school myself. In 2018 my wife got a job at a local food cafe and I noticed she started coming home late and sometimes even coming the following morning giving an excuse of overtime and knocking off late from work. I got concern but when I raise the issue, it all ended up in quarrels. I remember at some point she even told me to choose between her and my son because according to her he is the source of our misunderstandings and that I believe too much what people say than what she says. I took the issue to her family but nothing much is done. At some point I was even told to go and sort the issue alone since it’s between me and my wife. It’s only recently that I discovered that her family apparently where not for the idea of me marrying her. I’ve started seeing behaviors that I’d never seen before such as drinking alcohol now. Could it be that she’s protesting against my son or what? If so why does she refuse when I want to take him away to stay with my family? It’s so confusing because when I’m around she could show all the kids that motherly love. I love my wife so much but her behavior is really pushing me away
