TEACHERS MUST BE RESPECTED, APPRECIATED AND LOOKED AFTER.

Why demand for a grade 12 certificate as a requirement for one to be in a position of participating in politics? All leaders in all institutions are a product of a teacher, the president inclusive, but we have never appreciated a teacher from 1964, we have always disrespected them, we have respected a minister and all politicians more than a teacher who made them acquire a grade 12 certificate.
Most teachers are degree/PHD holders and more educated than presidents and ministers, but the minimum qualification for a president is just a grade 12 certificate for him to have powers and control over our resources.
For a teacher to get promoted, it takes one to acquire a degree, PHD and other highest qualifications. A military qualification is a grade 12 certificate, but look at how PF government built houses for them, ask how many houses where built for teachers. It's unfair and disrespectful to our teachers. If anything, teachers are the only civil servants who have remained royal to all past and current government, they have never protested for betterment of service conditions.
We are calling upon the new dawn government to look into the plight of our teachers and see how government can help them. We wouldn't have president Hakainde Hichilema and W.K Mutale Nalumango in statehouse today if they were not products of a teacher. The vice President being a teacher understand the challenges that a teacher go through and we expect her to fight for our teachers.
We shall not stop talking on behalf of our teachers untill something positive is done for them. Teachers must be the second highest paid civil servants in the world, we have undermined them while requesting for quality education.
Teachers,I am preparing to write an official letter to the president.
