What's working and what has to change?

Given the uncertainty of this year, some wins were carefully planned and executed, but other wins were just as much a surprise to the winners who only won because of the changes, emerging needs and dynamics on the market worked in their favour.

Even in those unexpected wins, some teams quickly recognised they were on a streak and strategised to maximise whilst others fumbled about without clearly understanding what was working and how to build on it.

1. Performance against the goals or plans for the year
2. Understand the levers that drove their wins and strengthening those levers
3. Unpacking losses to figure out what went wrong and minimise further loss

Hey star performer , how strong is the weakest link on your team?

When I started studying leadership development, I was convinced that the best way to enhance team's performance was to equip and empower the team leaders with the best practice tools, models and support to drive their team's performance. Yet the more I work with teams and organisations, I have been challenged to question this opinion and face the fact that though star performers are great, the long term sustainability of the impact comes down to the effectiveness of everyone else on the team. A team is only as strong as its weakest link.

As a star performer, are the people on your team well aligned enough to support your vision. Could your grow and advance faster if the people on your team were rallying and pushing for your own growth? Innovating to stay connected

The past few days we have been amazed by how some of the lessons and insights from our experiential activities are so relevant in this new norm of working from home and great uncertainty.

In this picture a very innovative team from World Vision used bandanas to 'stay in contact' during one of our teambuilding sessions. With people no longer seeing each other at the office as much, now more than ever teams have to be innovative to ensure they stay in touch, assuring each other they are together and going in the same direction.

If it ain't fun, it ain't us.

My favorite kinda sessions are the ones where the clients allows us to utilize our full toolbox to ensure their team learns, bonds and grows.

Earlier this month, as the Training Leaders Consortium, we facilitated the Annual conference for the Professional Secretaries Association of Zambia in Siavonga. We kicked off the day formal as we spoke about deliberately taking ownership of your life and strategizing on how to create the life you really really want. Yuna took over in the afternoon with a healthy rewards and self care session then she closed with a crazy fun dance and work out session. I love how our training methods allows us to utilize our different passions, skills and experiences to build high performance teams.

Life is too short for boring workshops. If it ain't fun - it ain't us :-)
