Team ZCCM-IH joined thousands of runners at the 2026 Absa Marathon, bringing determination, energy and team spirit to the road.

From the starting line to the finish, our team took on the various race categories, embracing the challenge and the spirit of one of Zambia’s biggest sporting events. Beyond the kilometres covered, the marathon was a celebration of wellness, resilience and teamwork, values that continue to drive us both on and off the track.

ZCCM Investments Holdings Plc (ZCCM-IH) is pleased to announce that the 100 MWac Maamba Solar PV Project has entered its commissioning phase, with electricity successfully injected into Zambia’s national grid for the first time on 24 September 2026.

Developed by Maamba Solar Energy Limited (MSEL), in which ZCCM-IH holds a 35% equity interest, the approximately US$90 million project represents another important step in diversifying Zambia’s energy mix and strengthening national energy security.

The project will now undergo further synchronisation, testing, reliability and performance verification ahead of full commercial operations.

ZCCM-IH remains committed to investing in strategic energy projects that support Zambia’s economic growth, strengthen the national grid and create sustainable value for shareholders and the Zambian people.
