From Farming as an Activity to Farming as a Bankable Business
Last week, we had an incredibly productive session demonstrating the Panuka AgriBiz Hub to the National Technology Business Centre (NTBC) Technical Committee.
As we move toward our next funding milestone, this engagement was a key opportunity to showcase how we are addressing one of agriculture’s biggest challenges: the “missing middle” between informal farming and investment-ready agribusiness.
Introducing the TTL Framework: Teach, Tools & Linkages
Panuka AgriBiz Hub is more than a platform. It is an ecosystem designed to tackle financial illiteracy, information gaps, and weak market connections.
TEACH
We have onboarded 217 users onto our financial literacy courses, with built-in assessments to track real knowledge transfer and impact.
TOOLS
Our Financial Tracker and Production Planner empower users with real-time insights into unit economics and risk exposure, enabling smarter decision-making.
LINKAGES
A standout feature from the demo was our AI-powered engine that converts an agri-venture profile into a professional Business Plan and Pitch Deck instantly, bridging the gap between farmers and finance.
Designing for the Real Market
Feedback from the NTBC Technical Committee was sharp and valuable. It reinforced a critical reality: while laptops are scarce, smartphones are everywhere.
Our next sprint is focused on:
• Mobile-first optimization for low-spec devices
• Simplified data entry through chatbot workflows and OCR for receipt tracking
• Offline functionality to support farmers in low-connectivity areas, with seamless data syncing
Evolving Toward a B2B Model
We are strategically expanding toward a B2B approach, positioning Panuka AgriBiz Hub as core infrastructure for agribusinesses, suppliers, and agro-companies across the value chain.
What’s Next
We are now entering a focused two-week sprint to refine the platform ahead of a final demonstration for the NTBC Executive Committee.
We are one step closer to unlocking capital access and data transparency for Zambian agriculture.
