JOB ADVERT – CUSTOMER CARE OFFICER
Position: Customer Care Officer
Location: Lusaka, Zambia
Employment Type: Full-Time
We are looking for a confident, friendly and customer-focused Customer Care Officer to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
• Attend to customers professionally through phone calls, WhatsApp, social media and in-person enquiries.
• Conversant with Microsoft
• Provide accurate information about the company’s products and services.
• Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
• Follow up on customer enquiries, orders and requests.
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and complaints.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with customers.
• Escalate unresolved or serious customer issues to the relevant department.
• Collect customer feedback and recommend ways of improving customer service.
• Work closely with the Sales, Accounts and Operations teams to ensure customer needs are met.
• Prepare customer service reports when required.
• Perform any other duties assigned by management.
Qualifications & Requirements
• Grade 12 Certificate; a Diploma in Customer Care, Marketing, Business Administration or a related field is an added advantage.
• Previous experience in customer care, sales or a call centre will be an advantage.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Good telephone and interpersonal skills.
• Computer literate, including knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Good problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional when dealing with difficult customers.
• Must be organised, reliable and able to work under pressure.
• Must have a positive attitude and strong customer-service orientation.
