We are seeking a qualified Occupational Health & Safety Officer to oversee compliance with Zambian workplace safety laws and ensure a safe, and legally compliant environment in our feed mill and Meat Processing operations. Location -Livingstone
Key Responsibilities
• Implement and monitor safety procedures in line with the Factories Act Cap 441, OHS Act No. 16 of 2025, Public Health Act Cap 295, and EMA Act No. 8 of 2023.
• Conduct risk assessments and enforce preventive measures.
• Train staff on occupational health and safety practices.
• Ensure compliance with environmental and public health standards.
• Maintain proper documentation and reporting systems.
Requirements
• Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health & Safety or any related field.
• Valid ZOHSA (Zambia Occupational Health & Safety Association) membership.
• Training in ISO 45001:2018 (Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems), NOSA Five Star or Vision Zero Principles.
• Training in ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management Systems).
• Knowledge of Document Control and Quality Management Systems.
• Minimum 2 years’ work experience in food processing (feed mill or Meat Processing plant.
• Computer literate with strong reporting and communication skills.
