Christiano Ronaldo !

This kid knew exactly who and what he was going to be - A GOAT - The greatest of all time.

He might not be gifted with the ball in comparison to the likes of Leo Messi, Maradona, Ronaldinho Gaúcho or Pelé; arguably speaking, he is better than them - a goal scoring machine - 700 club goals, 117 International goals, five Ballon d'ORs awards, Four European golden shoes, 32 trophies in his career to mention but a few.

Achieving this great feat, for him, has nothing to do with talent but everything to do with his hard work.

Truly remarkable!

I write to you despite us meeting in the next 30 years or so, so, sorry to say, it is so coz your momma is still dancing on tiktok and I am still trying to woo her;

I don't know how long it will take but the day will come when I win her heart,

Just you wait, I will tell you how we met, I will write our love story and read a chapter of it to you as a bed time story until you ten.

As of now, Daddy is trying to make a fortune,he is grinding day and night coz he doesn't want you to go through poverty like him, he doesn't want you to go a meal with no food,

He is trying so had to be a principled man, coz in a world of absentee fathers, he wants to hold you tight to his heart, in world of divorce, he wants to raise you in a loving home,

I can imagine your birth so clearly, vividly as though it was yesterday when it's in the future,.

I can imagine you popping out of your mother's tunnel,
making your first ocean tears, wailing like a cute bundle of joy, you will be,
I promise I will be in that labour room, and I will there for you until I take my last breathe,

I will be there for you on your graduations, I will be there for you on your baptism, I will be there for you when you hate me, when I unintentionally hurt you;

I will be there when you need me, I still will be there when you don't need, when puberty hits and you will be throwing all sorts of tantrums to daddy,

I know I will be too proud to say sorry, but I'm sorry when I will be a bit stiff but my last desire will be seeing you cry,

To you my future baby girl;
just keep in mind that I won't allow you to fall in love before 20; if you do, I will pull you out of it,

For Fifty Eight [58] years, we have been privileged to enjoy this freedom. A question, however, remains are we willing to struggle in retaining it?

Freedom and peace are one of the hardest things to obtain as they are not handed to but fought for.

For Freedom and peace to be gained, so much is sacrificed; so much was sacrificed, resources were lost and lives were put at stuck. So as for Freedom to one day, as it is now, be our oxygen.

Our Fore Fathers, lead by His Excellence, the late, Kenneth Kaunda, dared to risk it all for us to enjoy the Freedom today. They sacrificed, as saddening as it maybe, for Freedom they never enjoyed, as some never lived to see this day, but did it for the future generations, they did it for us.

In that light, Independence means not mourning but celebrating the lives lost, celebrating that they died not as cowards but heros, celebrating the blood shed because it is by this blood that the tears we shed were wiped, celebrating that they were bold enough to fight so that we, "... stand and sing of Zambia, proud and Free in a land of peace and joy..."

As we celebrate independence today I say, "From every Mountainside of Mother Zambia, let Freedom ring!"

Ballon D'Or Ceremony!

The wait is finally over as the Real Madrid Striker - Karim Benzema - is finally graced with the Ballon d'OR as expected 😁.

He becomes the first French man to be graced with this award after Zinédine Zidane in 1998.
