Saltech Enterprises Limited was established in 1997 in Lusaka as a Structural Steel Fabrication company. From its humble beginnings, the company has progressed over the years and has established itself as one of the leaders in Zambia in the Structural Steel Industry. Currently, Saltech Enterprises Limited is hiring for the following position:

STRUCTURAL STEEL FABRICATOR / FOREMAN – 2 Positions

SUMMARY OF THE POSITION:
Responsible to lay out, prepare and assemble structural steel and miscellaneous components, to fabricate structural components for buildings, and other load-carrying structures.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop and/or mark patterns (jigs) as required;
• Use of metalworking equipment, cutting torches, drill machines, grinder, arc welding machines and MIG welding machines;
• Assemble and fit metal sections and plates together as per the drawings to form complete structures;
• Fasten components together (by tack weld) in preparation for a welder to complete the process;
• Should be able to lead a team of workers and direct them to achieve the task in a safe and timely manner;

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
• To work as Structural Steel Fabricator you must have a minimum of 3 to 4 years of experience in a similar field;
• Traceable references required;
• Must be a Zambian Citizen;

SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ensure the Health & Safety of yourself and all workers at all times;
• Carry out your work in an acceptable safe manner as not to create a hazard to your health and safety of our fellow co-workers, plant superintendent, or management;
