In support of the theme for the , MyHectare Initiative Ltd, whose focus is working in peri-urban and rural areas to help bring about sustainable socio-economic development. We work with traditional leaders and help local authorities record and map relevant information on the land, and resources and also secure land rights of the occupiers with .

With secure land rights, recorded and mapped; and others are motivated to develop their property, services such as electricity and water reticulation are easier to plan and implement, crops with longer harvesting periods are planted, and land investment in afforestation with Pine, Rosewood, etc., and using the property as collateral for a bank loan to improve their livelihoods.
