A small scale farmer we supplied seed to came back to us with this amazing cob as a sample from his harvest. Despite poor rainfall towards the end of the 2018/19 farming season Pioneer variety P3812 (Kaimbi) did exceptionally better than other maize varieties on the market.

Agland Ltd is now an approved and registered supplier of agro inputs under the Farmer Input Support Programme - we will be working as a partner in the distribution of agro inputs to small scale farmers in Zambia for the 2017-2018 season. A lot of challenges lay ahead as do a lot of opportunities and as we move ahead we do so looking forward to overcome the challenges and make full use of the opportunities.

2016-2017 farming season was a successful year. More could've been achieved but considering the difficulties encountered from the previous season with regard to exchange rate volatility alot was still accomplished in the merchandising of our full range of agro inputs - maize seed, agro chemicals and fertilizer. Maize seed sold were Pioneer varieties 30G19 (Nkosi) and P3812 (Kaimbi)- both have done exceptionally well with many of our customers returning to share their high hopes for a bumper harvest.
As people that have on the ground experience in arable production we thought it only logical to start farming on our own- by partnering with land owners where we become 'Share-croppers'. This is a new concept in Zambia and we are proud to be 'testing the waters' in this area where we are highly optimistic of an excellent outcome.
Agland ltd in the following season 2017-2018 hopes to launch its own agricultural implement that will be a 'game changer for small holder farmers'. The Hand-push and Drop Seed Planter- has a Patent Pending and is set to greatly assist small scale farmers in planting seed of crops such as maize in a shorter period of time than the traditional use of the hoe. The 2015-2016 farming season in Zambia has begun.

As Agland Ltd we are ready to supply top quality DuPont Pioneer 30G19 and P3812 medium to late maturing Maize seed to our small scale and emerging farmers within Mpongwe and surrounding areas. High yields from 30G19 and P3812 from the previous season (in some cases above 10 tons per hectare) for small scale farmers has ensured the seed a ready market.

Also available at our Mpongwe store is the highest quality Glyphosate on the market. This is Twigasate from Twiga Chemicals. Twigasate has an SL value of 480 and contains a special ingredient that allows it to form a fine spray for maximum absorption by leaves of the weeds.

We have in stock other products such as soya bean inoculant, foliar fertilizers, fungicides, insecticides and knapsack sprayers.

The 2014-2015 farming season was generally successful and we managed to sell a substantial amount of seed, fertilizer and agrochemicals. We've opened a second store in Masaiti to try and reach out to even more small scale farmers. We are once again stocking Pioneer maize seed as our main product line of seed, 30G19 and P3812 Pioneer maize varieities performed exceptionally well last farming season and as such we expect the demand to be even higher this coming farming season. Challenges remain in getting credit for consignment products such as chemicals from our suppliers this year mainly as a result of the exhange rate volatilty.

In the process of registering with top Seed Companies such as Seedco, Pannar, Pioneer and Zamseed inorder to sell their products at our Mpongwe store. We have our Seed Sellers license from the Ministry of Agriculture and a Zambia Environmental Management Agency (ZEMA) license that also authorises us to handle Pesticides and Toxic Substances. We are a registered company under Zambian law and are certified sellers of quality seed, fertilizers and other agro inputs.
