Stocking a pond: the right time.

Spring or fall is the ideal time for pond stocking. Stock your ponds between March and April, as well as between September and November because temperatures are mild and oxygen levels are high. As a result, the stress factors that affect fish will be at their lowest.

Once acclimated to your pond, they will be primed to flourish. Fish can also be added in the summer, but they will need a little more time to adjust.

Note that the best time to stock your ponds is usually when oxygen levels are high and temperature is mild.
