Good morning, Ndola Chamber Family! ☀️

Here is something to make you smile as you kick off this brand new week...

We showed up. We learned. We grew. TOGETHER.

On Friday, the Ndola Chamber of Commerce hosted an SME Conference at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium – and WOW! SMEs from all over the Copperbelt showed up in full force! 🚀

From startups taking their first bold steps... to growing businesses finding their rhythm... to established enterprises scaling to new heights – you were ALL there, ready to learn, connect, and level up.

It was a day of knowledge, networking, and pure inspiration. Time well spent. 💼✨

Our main speaker, Dr. Rozious Siatwambo, left us with a powerful truth:

"A business is only as good as its owner's health."

Let that sink in. Your greatest asset is YOU. Take care of yourself, and your business will thrive. 💪

Our President and the entire Ndola Chamber team were proud to stand with you. Here are the highlights from that incredible day! 📸👇

To everyone who attended: Give us a thumbs up and tell us in the comments – What was your favorite moment or takeaway from the conference?

To those who missed it: Don't worry. We are already planning for an even BIGGER and BETTER conference next year. See you there!

A HEARTFELT THANK YOU to our amazing collaborators and sponsors. You made this event GREAT!

🕊️ A Message of Condolence from the Ndola Chamber of Commerce

It is with deep sadness that we extend our sincere condolences to IPP Joseph Malisawa and his entire family on the passing of their beloved mother, Mrs. Matilda Bwalya Wapachela Malisawa.

Motherhood is a sacred gift, and a mother's love leaves an imprint that lasts a lifetime. Mrs. Malisawa raised a son who serves our nation with dedication and integrity – and that is a legacy to be proud of.

May the Heavenly Father wrap you in His comfort, strengthen you in this difficult time, and grant you peace that surpasses all understanding.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and the entire family.

Rest in peace, Mama. 🕊️

🌍 Honouring Our Forefathers – The Architects of Our Freedom 🌍

Today, the Ndola Chamber of Commerce pauses to remember.

We remember the men and women who came before us.

Those who dreamed when dreaming was dangerous.
Those who fought when fighting was costly.
Those who led the path so that we could walk freely. 🚶‍♂️🚶‍♀️

🏢 BECAUSE OF THEM…
We can build businesses without fear

We can employ our people with pride

We can develop our country with purpose

We can dream of a future that is truly ours

The freedom we have to do all of this?

It is not accidental.
It is not ordinary.

It is a blessing. 🙏🇿🇲

👏 OUR RESPONSIBILITY
The best way to honour those who came before?

To build. To grow. To never waste the freedom they gave us.

As a Chamber, we commit to:

Supporting Zambian enterprise

Creating opportunities for our youth

Building a future worthy of their sacrifice

🙌 TODAY, WE SAY THANK YOU
To the forefathers.
To the freedom fighters.
To the unseen heroes.

We see you. We honour you. We will not forget.

👇 Drop 🇿🇲 if you stand with us in gratitude.

NDCCI President Comments on Zambia’s Improving Economic Outlook - ZNBC News

The Ndola & District Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NDCCI) President, Diana Kabaila, commented on the country’s improving economic outlook and its significance for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).

The country has, to some economic experts, seen a remarkable economic turnaround from 2022 up to date. Here are the current stats: Inflation rate is now at 6.8% from 7.1% in March, per Zamstat's report, and the central bank has reduced MPR by 25 basis points to 13.25%.

The NDCCI President stated that the continued reduction in the Monetary Policy Rate is expected to create a more favourable financing environment for SMEs, many of which depend on access to affordable credit for growth and operations.

While these macroeconomic indicators are promising, businesses remain cautiously optimistic and look forward to seeing these gains translate into practical improvements that directly support business growth and increased SME participation in the economy.
