π¨ NEWCASTLE DISEASE, LESSON OF TODAY π¨π
Newcastle disease is one of the most dangerous viral threats in poultry farming and once it enters your flock, it spreads FAST and can wipe out all your birds within days. It comes through infected birds, droppings, dirty equipment, shoes, and visitors. Watch out for signs like coughing, green diarrhea, weakness, twisted necks, paralysis, loss of appetite, and sudden deaths. The hard truth is this: there is NO treatment once birds are infected.
π Your only weapon is prevention:
Stick to a strict vaccination program (commonly day 7β10 and booster around day 21 depending on your schedule), maintain strong biosecurity, disinfect your house regularly, limit visitors, avoid mixing birds of different ages, and always source chicks from trusted hatcheries.
π‘ Remember: A successful broiler farmer is not the one who treats disease but the one who prevents it. Protect your flock, protect your income, and build a strong, trusted broiler brand. ππͺ
