2021 Chirundu constituency aspiring candidate Workwell Siamaili has donated K 5,000 cash to Runatano Co-operative in Kapulurila area.

Speaking on Wednesday during the donation, Mr Siamaili said he decided to donate the money after the co-operative comprise of 10 young people approached him asking for money in order for them to start a business.

He said with employment opportunities becoming scarce in Chirundu, he saw it fit to give K 5,000 to the youths so that they can start a business to uplift their living standards.
Mr Siamaili said he remains open to help youths engage in entrepreneural activities.

And receiving the donation, Runatano Co-operative chairman Dalton Kadunga and a Mr Charles Nyangulu thanked Mr Siamaili for the good gesture.

The Cooperative secretary Andrew Mupalazunga and Ian Kabanje a cooperative member urged Mr Siamaili to continue with the same spirit of helping the youths, women and less privileged people in the communities.

They described Mr Siamaili as a man who has a good heart for the people.

Good Afternoon Chirundu Residents and all surrounding areas we are glad that the rains look promising,
its sad to hear cases of army worms that have evaded our crops.

hence i urge our farmers to to report any suspected cases of army worms in their areas to Agriculture extension officers for action on time.

And happy that government has responded on time by providing chemicals to the farmers.

I also urge our farmers to practice crop diversification by planting other seeds such as sorghum, rice, soya beans or millet because these crops are drought resistant

crop diversification is as an important mechanism for economic growth in the Agricultural sector.

most farmers that have embraced crop rotation have had improved livelihoods compared to those that produce one type of crop all year round adding that the rainfall pattern in the last farming season was not favorable.

Am urging our farmers to take interest in crop rotation and regard agriculture as a viable business that can transform farmers lives positively.
