Ruoko rwaMwari: "A Home in Need"
An orphanage home in Mt. Hampden—a place meant to shelter orphans and vulnerable children who have no one else looking out for them. This home, Ruoko rwaMwari, is run by four to five incredible women from the community who take these children in when they have nowhere else to go.
This home does not receive any NGO funding because they lack a formal Proof of Viability (POV). They rely solely on the kindness of individuals who happen to find them and step in to help.
If this story moves you and you would like to be part of something meaningful, any small contribution—whether financial, material, or simply spreading awareness—can help change these children's lives.
More than anything, they need a safer environment. If you or someone you know has the capacity to help in a bigger way, please reach out.
Your generosity, no matter how small, will go a long way. And as you go about your day, take a moment to be grateful for the blessings in your life and say a prayer for these children. A little kindness can change a life.
Let’s be the difference they need.
