I have come to learn that a lot of people are migrating from our traditional prefabricated walls (durawalls as they are usually refered to) after a thorough investigation, it has come to my attention that many people now consider durawalls as a product that is no longer durable as many have secured their homes but in no time everything was gone. So many are now opting for brick walls. Let me take you through what I observed during my research :
1. It's not true that durawalls are no longer durable. The main problem I picked was that many customers now want to save money thereby opting for cheaper products. If a customer is given a charge of say $25/metre at Marmuc and another one for $18 at mr X, it's obvious they will pick mr X. Our suppliers are the same , we buy material from the same source but why is there such a big difference in prices, the reason is quality of our end products.
What determines the quality of our products is the mixture we use when producing our panels and post. Marmuc mix a bag of 42,5 superset cement to 4 wheel barrows while mr X mix the same cement with 8 wheel barrows of stones and sand. That's what determines the durability of prefabricated walls. The strong the mixture the longer it last. That's why we give our clients a 25 years guarantee. And we do visit our clients every 2 years to check if they are experiencing any challenges.
