Key Responsibilities
β Conduct thorough audits of stock inventories to identify and quantify discrepancies.
β Investigate root causes of shortfalls, distinguishing between errors and potential fraud/theft.
β Prepare comprehensive audit reports suitable for criminal prosecution.
β Serve as an expert witness in court, providing clear testimony on audit methodologies and findings.
β Handle cross-examination effectively, ensuring all conclusions are defensible.
β Collaborate with internal teams, law enforcement, and legal counsel.
Qualifications & Experience
β Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting, or an equivalent qualification.
β Membership in a professional auditing body (e.g., ACCA, CPA) is highly advantageous.
β Proven experience in forensic auditing, inventory management, or related fields.
β Experience in law enforcement, court attendance as a witness, or criminology/forensic investigations is an added advantage.
Abilities & Skills
β Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
β Ability to handle sensitive information with integrity.
β Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
β Proficiency in auditing software, Excel, and inventory systems.
β Confident and professional in legal settings.
