REGIONAL OPERATIONS MANAGER

Our client in the FMCG sector is seeking to hire a Regional Operations Manager in charge of six (6) branches focusing on optimizing the organization's processes and resources to derive maximum value.

Responsibilities:
• Managing stock control and inventory checks.
• Having a keen eye on budgets and budgetary changes.
• Communicating changes in an order process to relevant parties.
• Ensuring that health and safety regulations are followed.
• Documenting procedures for third-party monitoring.
• Creating and monitoring projects and teams.
• Reviewing workloads and manpower to ensure targets are met.
• Supporting the executive team’s vision and process ideals.
• Recruit, train, supervise and mentor staff.
• Establish organizational relationships and mutually beneficial alliances with potential company partners
• Supporting all functions of the business to work together.

Person Specification
• Degree in Business Management or equivalent, MBA an added advantage
• 5+ years of operations management or related quantitative-based business experience
• Ability to create compelling reports and presentations to influence business decisions
• Strong financial modeling and budgeting expertise
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• People management skills
• Excellent planning organizational and project management skills

Our Client is looking for a candidate to fill the position of Procurement Assistant to be based in Harare.

Responsibilities:
• Monitor stock levels and identify purchasing needs.
• Research potential vendors.
• Track orders and ensure timely delivery to factory.
• Update internal database with order details (dates, vendors, quantities, discounts, etc.)
• Conduct market research to identify pricing trends.
• Evaluate offers from vendors and negotiate better prices.
• Prepare cost analyses.
• Maintain updated records of invoices and contracts.
• Follow up with suppliers, as needed, to confirm orders and follow up on delivery.
• Liaise with factory/warehouse staff to ensure all products arrive in good condition.
• Maintain a fully stocked inventory for day to day consumables.

Person Specification
• Degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent
• 3 – 4 years experience in Purchasing with genuine reference is a must.
• A fair and honest negotiator.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel
• Knowledge of market research.
• Solid organizational skills

Stores Controller

Responsibilities
• Forecast supply and demand to prevent overstocking and running out-of-stock
• Enter purchase details
• (vendors information, invoices and pricing) into internal databases
• Place orders to replenish merchandise as needed
• Evaluate suppliers’ offers and negotiate profitable deals
• Coordinate regular inventory audits
• Liaise with warehouse staff and other internal teams to test products quality (status upon delivery and storage conditions)
• Keep updated inventory records (including daily shipments)
• Ensure purchases do not exceed budget

Qualifications & Experience

• A Diploma in Purchasing and Supply or Stores Management
• 3-5years working experience as a Stock Controller, Inventory Manager or similar role
• Good understanding of supply chain procedures
• Working knowledge of inventory management software
• Active participation in inventory audits
• Excellent organization skills
• Good communication and negotiation abilities

• Extensive understanding of financial trends both within the company and general market patterns
• Proficient user of finance software
• Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
• Able to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used
• A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles
