Artlands ACCA Students Visit Kreston Zimbabwe
They say seeing is believing and today our students saw the possibilities.
As part of our Preparation for the Workplace Mentorship Programme, we took our ACCA students to Kreston Zimbabwe for a Workplace Familiarisation Visit - Audit & Accounting Firm.
We are truly grateful to Kreston Zimbabwe for opening their doors and giving our students an opportunity to experience the audit environment beyond the classroom.
A special thank you to Knowledge Nyoni and Thelma Mazorodze from Kreston Zimbabwe for engaging our students, taking them through their working environment and sharing practical insights into the audit profession.
The conversation covered everything from what auditors actually do and what a typical day looks like, to professional ethics, auditor independence, teamwork, communication, career progression, workplace expectations and the qualities that make an excellent auditor.
Our students also heard about the changing face of the profession; , analytics, , in audit, beyond audit, additional and importantly what they can start doing now to become more .
And perhaps one of the biggest takeaways?
Audit is much more than numbers and paperwork and certainly not as boring as some may imagine! 😄
The feedback from our students has been amazing. Seeing the people, experiencing the environment and having these conversations helped challenge some of the misconceptions they had about the profession.
Sometimes you can explain it in a classroom and you can read about it in a textbook but seeing it makes all the difference.
