We're proud to announce the successful commissioning of a 3MWp Solar PV system for Bakers Inn Manufacturing Shepperton Plant, in Harare commissioned on 17 July 2026.

The installation incorporates net metering and a generator hybrid system, helping to improve energy resilience, optimise operational efficiency, and support a more sustainable approach to power generation.

Every project represents another step towards reducing carbon emissions and delivering reliable, future-ready energy solutions for Zimbabwean businesses.

Congratulations to Kimberly on graduating with a Distinction for her final-year research project, Comparative Evaluation of Powdered and Liquid Calcitic Lime on Soil Properties and Maize Productivity. 🎓🌱

Last year, Kimberly joined Agri-Tech as an intern, where she exchanged lecture theatres for laboratory benches and gained hands-on experience in agricultural testing and analysis.

Throughout her internship, she approached every opportunity with curiosity, dedication, and a willingness to learn, steadily building both her technical skills and confidence in the laboratory.

Friendly competition, teamwork, and plenty of determination were on display as our employees took part in this year's Katiyo Bike and Running Race. 🚴🏃

With 38 competitors across four events including a Buffalo Bike Race, Mountain Bike Race, and Men's and Women's 10 km Running Races, the day celebrated not only athletic achievement, but also the spirit of camaraderie that brings our teams together.

Congratulations to all the participants and winners. A special mention goes to our Men's 10 km champion, who crossed the finish line in an impressive 38 minutes.

Judging by the enthusiasm on the day, there's already plenty of excitement for next year's event!

We're delighted to announce that Agri-Tech has been officially endorsed by the Department of Seed Services as a laboratory approved to test potato seed for Potato Virus Y (PVY), Potato Leafroll Virus (PLRV) and Bacterial Wilt (Ralstonia solanacearum). 🥔🇿🇼

This endorsement marks an important milestone in the development of Zimbabwe's national potato seed certification programme and the strengthening of our country's seed potato industry.

We're proud to play our part in supporting a programme that will improve confidence in seed health, encourage the use of high-quality planting material, and help build a more productive and resilient potato sector.

Our sincere thanks to the Department of Seed Services for their confidence in our laboratory, and to the Zimbabwe Seed Potato Companies Alliance (ZSPCA) for their leadership and collaboration in making this programme a reality.
