1,300+ ventilation seals installed. Zero Lost Time Injuries.

At Avux Technologies, we’re proud of what our team delivered at Zimplats Ngezi Mines successfully installing more than 1,300 ventilation seals while maintaining an LTI-free project.

But the achievement also highlights an important question for mining operations

Are traditional brick-wall stoppings always the most efficient way to manage underground ventilation?

Ventilation seals can offer advantages including faster installation, flexibility, reduced labour and material requirements, and potential cost savings compared with conventional brick-wall stoppings when sealing underground holings.

They can also be easier to adapt as mining conditions and layouts change helping operations manage airflow without unnecessarily committing time and resources to permanent structures.

For us, this is what practical mining innovation looks like, solutions that consider safety, ventilation efficiency, operational flexibility and cost.
