We partnered GAIN Cash and Carry and ZPCS to bridge the gap between prison inmates and their relatives during this Covid-19 pandemic where prison visits are restricted. You can buy groceries for your loved ones at any GAIN Cash and Carry Shop wherever you are and a delivery will be made to any prison where your relative is incarcerated.

One of our objectives is to empower youths through projects and business seminars.
Last week, under Southern Africa Network of Prisons (SANOP), we have 300 day of chicks and feed to young ex-offenders in an effort to assist them reintegrate into society.

In January 2020, the World Health Organisation (WHO) declared the outbreak of thenew Corona Virus disease, Covid -19, a pandemic. Who stated that there is a high riskof Covid-19 spreading to other countries around the whole world as we arewitnessing in Zimbabwe today. Since then, Zimbabwe and the rest of the World hasbeen ushered in a series of lockdown restrictions and movement has been seriously
restricted. Prisons has not been spared in this crisis.
With the advent of COVID19 throughout the entire world, it brought with it the need
to change the way we do things. Prisonsis not an exception family, friends and wellwishers have become constrained when it comesto their ability to assist inmates withgroceries. A gap has thus been created that TEAM in Africa and GAIN Cash & Carrydesires to plug. We have created a platform for friends and relatives to buy groceriesonline or any GAIN Cash and Carry shops close to them and deliveries to their lovedones in prisons are done at no cost.
The challenge now comes to those who do not have friends and relatives to supportthem with grocery supplies. This is now a call to well wishers to come together andadopt inmates in need during this time of the covid 19 pandemic. Every month wewould wish to receive donation hampers for these less priviledged inmates.

ISSUE
There are 1.8 billion young people in the world today, nearly 90 per cent of whom live in low- and middle-income countries — the largest cohort ever. Yet globally more than 200 million adolescents are out of school and youth unemployment is 13% globally; 3 times higher than the rate for adults 1. There are many different reasons for this, ranging from escaping conflict to disability to education systems that don’t provide the skills young people need for employment today. But the common challenges are a lack of opportunity and systems that fail to provide skills for work and for life.

INNOVATIVE RESPONSE

TEAM in Africa is an avenue for innovative programme response that blends leading approaches to youth and adolescent development, social innovation, and entrepreneurship to empower marginalised youth and adolescents to become social innovators and social entrepreneurs. Our programme combines social innovation workshops, mentorship, incubation and seed funding, to equip young people with the skills and resources they need to identify problems in their own communities and design solutions for them. While young people build social and entrepreneurship skills.
