DNA FACT OF THE DAY!
Did you know? A paternity DNA test does more than simply compare whether a child “looks like” a man.
A child inherits half of their DNA from their biological mother and half from their biological father. A paternity test examines specific genetic markers from the child and alleged father to determine whether the genetic relationship is supported.
✅ No guessing based on appearance
✅ No assumptions based on blood type alone
✅ DNA provides scientific evidence of biological relationships
Important: A standard paternity test usually involves samples from the child and alleged father; including the mother can sometimes provide additional information.
Have a DNA question? Ask before you test—we'll help you understand which test is appropriate.
