FIBROIDS
Are non cancerous(benign) tumors that's grow from the muscle layers of the uterus (womb). They are also known as uterine FIBROIDS, myomas or fibromyomas.
The singular of the uterine fibroids is uterine fibroma. FIBROIDS Are growths of smooth muscle and fibrous tissue. The fibroids can vary in size, from that of a bean to as large as a melon.
Malignment (cancerous)growths on the smooth muscles inside the womb can develop, called ieimyosarcoma of the womb. However these are extremely rare.

TYPES OF FIBROIDS
1). Intramural: these are located in the wall of the uterus and are the most common.
2). Subserosal: these are located outside the wall of the uterus. They can develop into pedunculated fibroid (stalks) they can become quiet large.
3). Sub mucosal: these are in he muscle beneath the lining of the uterus wall.
4). Cervical fibroids: these are located in the neck of the womb(cervix).

what are the symptoms of uterine fibroids:
a) anemia as a result of heavy flows/periods
b) backache
c) constitution
d) discomfort in the lower abdomen especially if the fibroids are large
e) frequent urination
f) heavy painful periods
g) pain in the legs
h) painful s*x
i ) swelling in the lower abdomen (especially if the fibroids are large)

What causes fibroids?
