Landmark Institute Of Social Work is a developmental and consultancy social enterprise. It was oonstituted to,among others, build the capacities of individuals, families, groups, communities and societies to enable these groups to adequately respond to socio-economic, developmental, environmental and socio-political challenges facing them.In carrying out these activities, Landmark Institute Of Social Work used various intervention strategies and technical tools including individual counseling, self advocacy, resource mobilization, lobbying and advocacy, baseline surveys, participatory appraisals, training for enterprises, transformational leadership training, participatory market system development, participatory learning action, participatory extension approaches,rapid assessment of poverty impact, integrated rural accessibility planning, community based monitoring and reflection system and training for transformational economic empowerment. Landmark Institute Of Social Work is membership based and governed.All its members are registered social workers who are registered in terms of and subject to the provisions of the Social Workers Act.It is in the process of registering with the Ministry Of Higher and Tertiary Education in terms of the Manpower Planning and Development Act.
