Do you really know who owns the business you just onboarded?
Complex ownership structures can make beneficial-owner verification slow and difficult to evidence. A structured KYB process helps teams verify ownership, document decisions and reduce onboarding risk.

The goal is not only to know who you onboarded, but to demonstrate why the decision was sound.

What evidence would your team need to defend a KYB decision?

The Financial Conduct Authority published its final crypto rules on June 30, 2026.

The application window for cryptoasset authorization opens September 30, 2026.

This is not a soft deadline.

The Financial Conduct Authority has been explicit: firms that defer preparation will face practical constraints, authorization backlogs and compressed implementation timelines before the October 2027 go-live.

What your firm needs in place before September 30:
β†’ AML program, fully documented, meeting UK MLR standards
β†’ Customer due diligence and transaction monitoring, operational, not in progress
β†’ Governance framework: demonstrating effective control and oversight
β†’ SMCR-ready senior managers mapping: who is accountable for what
β†’ Sanctions screening: documented against relevant UK lists with re-screening in place
β†’ SAR reporting capability: connected to the UKFIU

The Financial Conduct Authority also confirmed a further policy statement in September 2026 on the regulatory perimeter for cryptoassets. That gives you 30 days of runway, which is exactly enough, if you move now.

Infocredit's crypto compliance services, AML consulting, KYC, transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, are available and ready.

Act now. Not in Q4. ↓

Most compliance teams have a KYC process.
Most have AML screening.
Almost none have a properly integrated ESG risk layer.

That gap is now a regulatory exposure. What ESG risk assessment actually covers:
🌍 ESG-linked sanctions screening: geopolitical exposure not caught by standard AML lists
πŸ”— Supply chain due diligence: upstream beneficial ownership with ESG fl πŸ“Š EU taxonomy alignment: for regulated businesses with ESG reporting obligations
πŸ— Sector-specific ESG risk profiling: energy, mining, real estate, shipping
⚠ Adverse ESG media monitoring: reputational exposure before it becomes regulatory

ICG MECOS (Infocredit Group Middle East) ESG Risk Assessment service is available standalone or integrated with ComplianceSuite.ae and RiskRecon by Mastercard for a complete picture.

Who needs this:
β†’ Banks and financial institutions with cross-border exposure
β†’ Corporate service providers onboarding high-risk client sectors
β†’ Investment firms with ESG reporting obligations under SFDR
β†’ Any regulated business with supply chain or third-party exposure

AMLA's July 2 hearing on ongoing monitoring guidelines is a signal to every regulated business in the EU:
Ongoing monitoring is moving from best practice to a binding expectation.

What AMLA's guidelines will require:
β†’ Continuous, not periodic, review of customer risk profiles
β†’ Documented evidence that monitoring controls are working, not just that they exist
β†’ Transaction behaviour tracked against evolving risk indicators
β†’ Automated flagging of material changes in customer risk

What ComplianceSuite.ae delivers today:
βœ… Real-time transaction monitoring: rules-based, configurable per jurisdiction
βœ… Continuous AML screening: sanctions, PEPs, adverse media via LexisNexis
βœ… Dynamic risk scoring: updated automatically as customer behaviour changes
βœ… Case management: investigation workflows with full audit trail
βœ… MLRO dashboard: every active flag, in real time, in one view

17 integrated modules. One workflow engine. Trusted by 100+ regulated institutions across 25+ jurisdictions.

Beneficial ownership transparency is now at the centre of AMLA's compliance framework.

And the data problem is significant.

The DT4C alliance, including Moody's, has confirmed that over-reliance on visual organigrams uploaded as images creates ambiguity, requires manual re-keying, and increases error risk across workflows.

What regulators now expect:
β†’ Structured, machine-readable beneficial ownership data not PDFs
β†’ Unique identifiers enabling cross-dataset matching
β†’ Consistent data fields that move smoothly through CDD and monitoring workflows
β†’ Evidence that your data is current not the last time someone checked

LexisNexis WorldCompliance Data available through Infocredit Group delivers:
🌍Coverage across 200+ countries and territories
πŸ”—Detailed beneficial ownership profiles aliases, relationships, connections
πŸ“‹Sanctions, PEPs, enforcement 50+ risk categories
πŸ“°Adverse media from 35,000+ global news sources
⚑Real-time screening, structured, machine-readable, API-accessible

Available standalone or integrated directly into ComplianceSuite.ae

AMLA has pushed back the deadline for standardized Financial Intelligence Unit reporting formats to July 10, 2028.

Previously: July 2027.
Now: July 2028.

What this actually means for compliance teams:
β†’ The single EU format for SAR reporting to the EPPO is delayed, but not cancelled
β†’ Firms cannot use this delay as a reason to slow their own reporting infrastructure investment
β†’ National formats remain in force and diverge significantly across member states
β†’ The Wolfsberg Group estimates proper harmonization could cut SAR process costs by up to 20%

The delay is an AMLA operational reality. It does not change your regulatory exposure.

AMLA still becomes the direct supervisor of 40 high-risk financial institutions from January 2028.
The selection process is already underway.

If your firm operates across 6+ EU member states, you may be on that list.
