This beautiful Hazara wood dyed rug is traditionally handwoven by skilled Afghan artisans. It features a rich turquoise background with elegant floral and traditional motifs, surrounded by detailed borders.

Once a handmade Afghan rug is finished weaving, it moves to the finishing process before washing.

One important step is carefully passing a controlled flame over the back of the rug. This removes loose wool fibers and small pieces of yarn, helping to make the back surface cleaner, smoother, and more even.

After this step, the rug is carefully prepared for washing. Each stage is done by skilled workers to bring out the beauty and quality of the handmade rug.

This is one of the many traditional finishing steps behind every Afghan handmade carpet. 🇦🇫🧶
