Big shout out to one of our own Jasmin Reynolds! Showing amazing character overcoming a tragic situation for her and her family.
She truly inspires all of us every day finding the energy to take care of her family, representing the area in rugby for both local and regional teams and backing it up each night representing Reef Security keeping our community safe.
We appreciate everything you do for us and those around you!
It was an incredibly spirited Mackay Rugby Union Stingers W team that took to the mud of quarry hill over the weekend. With more than half that team being made up of Whitsunday Raiders, it shows the effort that our women have been putting in to improve their skills, both individually and as a team.
Leading them out as Stingers captain was Jasmin. Those of you who know her, know the last six months have been incredibly difficult. It would have been easy to put rugby to the side. Instead of that, with her girls and her team, she has gone onto show who she is as a person, both on the field and off.
Her leadership, love, and willingness to keep on going even when her body was telling her to stop, displayed to us all that this is a woman of courage and resilience who deserves our admiration. Her team and those that support it could not be prouder.
Training resumes on Wednesday, 5.30, at Whitsunday Sports Park. New players always welcome - no experience necessary.
