🚨 COMMUNITY NOTICE – AYR 🚨

Due to a significant amount of damage caused in recent weeks, SRW Security Services will now have a 24/7 security presence at Ayr State High School for the duration of the school holidays.

We will have two security officers on every shift, around the clock, actively monitoring the site.

This is about protecting community assets and putting a stop to ongoing vandalism.

If anyone is considering trespassing or causing further damage — don’t. You will be dealt with accordingly by QPS.

We appreciate the community’s support. Please feel free to share this post to help spread the message and protect local facilities.

We also wanted to let everyone know as we often receive messages asking what’s happening at the school and why security is on site, so we thought it was best to put this information out there.

Ayr / Townsville – Security Officers Wanted.

I’m currently seeking three entry-level (cleanskin) security officers. No prior security experience is required — just a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and the ability to be a reliable team player.

Details:
• Casual employment
• 25–45 hours per week (approx. 3 weekends per month)
• Estimated earnings: $2,500+ per fortnight (after tax)
• New contract commencing 1 April 2026, crowd control, static guarding and unarmed position.

Burdekin Tyre Service
Does anyone know this oxygen-thieving scumbag?

Burdekin Tyre Services was broken into once again and was the victim of a break and enter — not last night, but on Thursday night / early hours of Friday morning.

This wasn’t random — this grub clearly had it planned out.

Timeline:
• 3:45am – Vehicle on site
• 3:53am – White LandCruiser arrives
• 3:54am – Vehicle leaves with stolen property in the tray
• 4:08am – Returns
• 4:17am – Leaves again with more stolen property

The vehicle involved is a blue Ford Falcon ute, likely a 2007–2013 model, with style side tray. There aren’t many of these around town, so it’s only a matter of time before we work out who it is.
Based on multiple cameras, he’s come from the Brandon direction and down the Ayr bypass initially from the industrial estate direction.

Real hero behaviour — sneaking around businesses early in the morning thinking no one’s watching.
Surely people around town realise by now I’ve nearly got the whole town under surveillance.

💰 $250 CASH REWARD for information that identifies the offender and leads to them being prosecuted accordingly.

Yes, this has been reported to police.
