Have we started accepting “order, tap, next” as good enough?
Because I don’t think great hospitality needs to be complicated.
A hello, eye contact, maybe a little warmth, then actually listening to the order. Making the customer feel like a person, not just a transaction.
The coffee and food can be beautiful, but if the service feels cold, that still becomes part of the experience.
And sometimes it’s the part that decides whether someone comes back.
Tell me I’m not alone in this? Are there still people out there that appreciate a little smile and maybe some cheeky banter when they order their coffee?
