When we started RMI Security in 2006, we were just a small team of a few staff. We’ve grown to a team of 25 permanent staff with many more casuals trusted to look after the biggest events in the Top End. Founded by Craig Spencer – a former Detective Sergeant with 24 years of law enforcement experience and an impressive list of qualifications - RMI Security is committed to providing the highest possible quality security services to the people and businesses of the Top End. BizSecure Audits
RMI Security is a preferred provider for the Northern Territory Government’s BizSecure grant audits. Our audits are fully subsidised and examine your entire business premises, identifying security weaknesses, blind spots and other factors that may be affecting the safety and security of your business. Our BizSecure audit staff are accredited in Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) principles and can recommend changes to your business to improve the safety of you, your staff and customers, and reduce costly break-ins. We have experience providing risk and security assessment to victims of crime here in the Northern Territory so we know the importance of getting it right. OUR SECURITY SERVICES
All our staff hold dual security and crowd control licences with training in risk management and de-escalation techniques. Our key operational staff are trained in First Aid and Mental Health First Aid to ensure the safety and security of everyone on-site. Responsive On-Site Security
Our staff ensure a safe and secure venue through your choice of regular security patrols, entry-point screening, personal protection, asset protection, and crowd control. We can provide uniformed or plain clothes security services to private and public events, work sites, retail stores, licensed hospitality venues, public facilities, industrial estates, and even traffic management and road closures. We have an excellent working relationship with NT Police and can deal with all matters directly, leaving you to take care of your business and your customers. Personal Protection
RMI Security provides a personal protection and bodyguard service for high profile individuals and groups to ensure their safety and security. Our team are all trained in personal protection techniques, risk management and crowd control and can be as visible as our clients need them to be. Crowd Control & Events
RMI Security have been delivering event security to small, local events right through to large internationally renowned multi-day, multi-venue events for years. Event security is our speciality and we are extremely experienced in this area. RMI Security have been the exclusive security services providers for major events including (but not limited to):
• Mindil Beach Sunset Markets 2007 to current (5,000 – 10,000 patrons),
• Arafura Games 2009, 2011 and 2019 (up to 10,000 patrons dependent on venue/event),
• Darwin Festival 2008 to current (up to 5,000 patrons dependent on venue/event),
• AFL, AFLW and NRL games (8,000+ patrons)
• Bruce Munro Tropical Light exhibition (24/7 service, 5,000+ patrons). Screening
Our highly skilled screening officers offer entry point screening for both indoor and outdoor events and also baggage and freight screening for aviation and maritime industries. All of our screening staff are qualified and experienced and, hold both Aviation Security Identification and Maritime Security Identification Cards. Our staff are purposely selected for these roles based on their attention to detail, computer skills and responsiveness. RMI Security provide entry point screening to TIO Stadium, across various venues for the Arafura Games, music concerts at Darwin Amphitheatre and during the Darwin Cup Carnival for the Darwin Turf Club. Aviation and Maritime screening is currently provided to QANTAS freight terminal Darwin, Darwin Cruise Ship Terminal and the Fort Hill Wharf. Static and Concierge Security Services
RMI Security offer professionally presented and customer-focussed static and concierge security officers for government, corporate and retail properties. Our staff create a welcoming, helpful and friendly environment through their superb interpersonal skills and client focus. They receive ongoing training and development in the areas of professional protocol, building evacuation procedures and dealing with difficult situations to ensure client and customer satisfaction. Our highly trained team of armed guards provide a discreet and secure banking service for any industry. If your business banks cash payments or transports high-value items, it is essential that they make it to their destination.
