We are currently seeking an experienced part-time person to work approx. 20-24 hours per week at our Head Office just minutes from Mount Sheridan Plaza Shopping Centre. This position will provide finance and/or clerical and general administrative/logistical support, with duties varying from day to day depending on the immediate requirements.

Last Thursday, Maxitool Australia welcomed State Member for Mulgrave, Terry James MP to view the excellent progress our team have made designing and building a dredge destined for Papua New Guinea in July 2026. General Manager Douglas Paterson provided an overview of the economic benefits for Cairns businesses involving local manufacturing, purchasing and employment, a positive stimulus for the local economy.

Today the Maxitool team took a tour to review the progress of one of the most challenging dredge build projects to date. The design, manufacture and delivery of the dredge to the client in Papua New Guinea is an amazing feat of engineering which requires the build to be finished, then disassembled into 11 large pieces, shipped from Australia to the site in PNG, then reassembled and commissioned, ready to go to work.
