This last week we are reminded of the great victory that the Maccabees organized against the ruler Antiochus IV and reconstructed the defiled temple of Jerusalem. This victorious feast called Hanukkah is celebrated by the lighting of candles each day over 8 days and are also reminded that the oil was only sufficient for one day and miraculously burnt for all 8 days.
What a wonderful picture of the greatest victory of all time when Yeshua ( Jesus Christ) died on the cross and at His resurrection sent the Holy Spirit, who would never leave us and continue to burn in our lives.
Tomorrow we celebrate the greatest gift ever given when God so loved the world that He gave His only son. Allow the Christ of Christmas to be your victory and light. My desire for all my family and friends is that you all have a very blessed day and allow the true reason for this season to be a highlight for your lives. It is probably not the right day and there is a lot of pagan influences but we choose to celebrate. HAPPY CHRISTMAS and a prosperous NEW YEAR

Living with heaven on my mind
Your greatest investment is not what you store up here on earth, but as children of God, it is what you invest in heaven. There is a saying “Only one life, twill soon be past. Only what’s done for Jesus will last”
Matthew 6-20 challenges us to “Store up for yourself treasures in heaven”
How do we do that?
I believe that when we gave our life to Jesus Christ and experienced God’s wonderful salvation, a deposit account was opened in our name. As we live our lives for Him, we invest into this heavenly account.
The bible speaks much about rewards, crowns, ruling in the kingdom and blessings in our eternal future, but I would like to propose areas of investment that perhaps have not been considered.
Having been in the financial industry for the last 9 years, and having considered various forms of investment, it was often mentioned by consultants that one needed to consider investing in gold, silver and precious stones, especially in the volatile market relating to shares etc.
It is amazing that Paul when he writes to the church at Corinth expresses the following: I Corinthians 3-8 “ Every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour”. How? Verse 11-12
Jesus Christ is the foundation ( our deposit account in heaven). We now make deposits by building on the foundation already laid with Gold, Silver and precious stones.
How do we build ???
• Gold. ( Testings) I believe that every time you endure trials, sufferings and persecution and you do it as unto the Lord believing Him to bring you through, you are producing gold in your heavenly account. Job 23-10 “When He has tried me I shall come forth as gold.” 1Peter1-7” That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than gold.” Jesus, “ For the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame. Hebrews 12-2
• Silver ( Sacrifice ) There is a price to your Christian walk and every time you sacrifice for the sake of the gospel and your walk with God, I believe you are producing silver in your heavenly account. The price of 30 pieces of silver was paid to betray Jesus. Mathew 26-15. Joseph was also sold for 20 pieces of silver Genesis 37-28. Silver speaks of redemption and the price to be paid. Jesus sacrificed His all for us by giving up heaven and becoming the sacrifice for us. As the merchant man , He sold all that He had to purchase the “pearl of great price” the redeemed. Matthew 13-46.
• Precious stones ( Works ) Precious stones were used in the tabernacle, the priest’s garments, gifts and also in the foundations of the final temple as recorded in the book of revelation. Precious stones are so often used as a gift. (Song: Diamonds are a girl’s best friend). I believe that we as God’s children are called to be gifts to others. Proverbs 17-8 “ A gift is as a precious stone. “ We have been created for good works. Ephesians 2-10 “ For we are His workmanship created in Christ Jesus unto good works. I believe that every time we help people with money, time, ministry, prayer and all areas of biblical caring and doing it all as unto Jesus , we are producing precious stones in our heavenly account.
We know that Jesus is coming soon. Let us live with heaven on our minds. Let us be ready and prepared as His bride.
! Corinthians 2-9 “ But as is written, eye has not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things that God has prepared for them that love Him”
I know that many of you are going through major testings and trials and areas of sacrifice and have been busy working for His kingdom. God knows. I trust that what I have shared will give you an increased hope for the future. We used to sing this song.
It will be worth it all when we see Jesus. Life’s trials will seem so small when we see Christ. One glimpse of His dear face, all sorrow will erase, so bravely run the race till we see Him.
Romans 8-18 “The sufferings of this time are not worthy to be compared to the glory that shall be revealed in us.”

CONSULTANTS FOR CHRIST

In this soul-winning course, which I shared with over 40 churches in South Africa, we will be looking at marketing and communication principles that can assist Christians and the church in becoming more effective in reaching the lost. Paul the apostle understood the importance of being able to relate and find an area that was common ground, so that, by “all means”, he might bring people to Christ. “When I was with the Jews, I lived like a Jew to bring them to Christ------When I was with the gentiles, I lived apart from the law to bring them to Christ----When I was with the weak, I shared their weaknesses, for I want to bring them to Christ. Yes, I try to find common ground with everyone, doing everything I can to save some I do everything to spread the Good news and share in its blessings “. (1 Corinthians 9 20-23) New Living Translation

Jesus trained his disciples and caused them to be “Fishers of men” (Matthew 4-19). He also told them to be “as wise as serpents and harmless as doves “(Matthew 10-16)

We have come to realise that in the western world that Evangelistic drives do not always get the unsaved to come to our churches. We need to go where they are and reach them on a one to one basis. Our problem is one of fear and often of unwise witnessing. Hence, the purpose of this training is to equip, motivate and train. Nothing we look at in this course can substitute the anointing of the Holy Spirit, a healthy prayer life, knowledge of the word of God and a dedicated life style to God. (Acts 1-8) There is no greater joy than leading a soul to Jesus.!!

Hi all. Trust that you have been enjoying Passover, Unleavened bread and First fruits representing the death burial and resurrection of Yeshua. We also trust that you have a good rest whether you are going away or staying at home this long weekend. The meeting place at Kawana had been previously hired for the whole day on Saturday by another party so we have decided not to meet this Sabbath. We look forward to seeing you all the following Sabbath at 4.30 pm. Bring a friend. As promised, here are the notes of the ministry from Shabbat two weeks ago.
This teaching based on ancient financial wisdom can have a great impact on your understanding of godly prosperity.
TERUMAH – FIRST FRUITS
LEV 19:9,10 – WHEN YOU REAP THE HARVEST OF YOUR LAND, YOU SHALL NOT WHOLLY REAP THE CORNERS OF YOUR FIELD, NOR SHALL YOU GATHER THE GLEANINGS OF YOUR HARVEST.

WE ARE CALLED TO LIVE ON A CIRCLE – IN A SQUARE
THE AREA OF A CIRCLE IN A SQUARE IS 79%

FARMING
The first percentage of a crop that comes up is called the FIRST FRUITS or BIKURIM. When presented to the priest, he holds it up presenting it to YHWH and it then becomes TERUMAH.
TERUMAH IS GIVEN BEFORE THE HARVEST COMES AND AS SUCH IS A GIVING IN FAITH THAT THE HARVEST WILL BE PLENTIFUL AND BLESSED.

ROM 11:16 – FOR IF THE FIRST FRUIT IS HOLY, THE LUMP IS ALSO HOLY, AND IF THE ROOT IS HOLY, SO ARE THE BRANCHES.

NEHEMIAH 12:44 – AND AT THE SAME TIME SOME WERE APPOINTED OVER THE ROOMS OF THE STOREHOUSE FOR THE OFFERINGS, THE FIRST FRUITS AND THE TITHES TO GATHER INTO THEM FROM THE FIELDS OF THE CITIES THE PORTIONS REQUIRED BY THE TORAH FOR THE PRIEST AND THE LEVITES.

NEHEMIAH 10:35 – AND TO BRING THE FIRST FRUITS OF OUR SOIL AND THE FIRST FRUITS OF ALL FRUIT OF ALL TREES, YEAR BY YEAR TO THE HOUSE OF YHWH.

PROVERBS 3:9 – HONOUR YHWH WITH YOUR GOODS (POSSESSIONS) AND WITH THE FIRST FRUITS OF YOUR INCREASE, THEN YOUR STOREHOUSES SHALL BE FILLED WITH PLENTY AND YOUR VATS OVERFLOW WITH NEW WINE.

HEBREW GIVING
 First Fruits – 1/40 or 2.5% – to the priests TERUMAH
 Tithe to YHWH’s Kingdom MAASER RISHON
 Tithe to yourself MAASER SHENI
 Every third tithe to the needy – Tzedikah TERUMAT HAMAASER

DEUT 14:28,29 – AT THE END OF EVERY THIRD YEAR YOU BRING OUT ALL THE TITHE OF YOUR INCREASE OF THAT YEAR AND STORE IT UP WITHIN YOUR GATES
AND THE LEVITES, BECAUSE HE HAS NO PORTION NOR INHERITANCE WITH YOU, AND THE SOJOURNER AND THE FATHERLESS AND THE WIDOW WHO ARE WITHIN YOUR GATES SHALL COME AND EAT AND BE SATISFIED SO THAT YHWH YOUR ELOHIM DOES BLESS YOU IN ALL THE WORKS OF YOUR HAND WHICH YOU DO.

FIRST STEP – TERUMAH

The leading Rabbis in Yeshua’s day were Hillel and Shamai and they were quoted as saying, “If a person honours Terumah at 1/40 (2.5%) level, his eye was said to be ‘Full of Light’. If he honours Terumah at 1/50 level, his eye is said to be a ‘Middling Eye’. If he honours Terumah at 1/60 level, that person is considered to have an ‘Evil Eye’. If he does not give at all, he is said to be ‘An Infidel!’”

Yeshua said in:
MATT 6:19-24 – THE EYE IS THE LAMP OF THE BODY SO IF YOUR EYE IS SOUND, YOUR ENTIRE BODY WILL BE FULL OF LIGHT BUT IF YOUR EYE IS UNSOUND, YOUR WHOLE BODY WILL BE FULL OF DARKNESS.

The farmer brings the First Fruits of his crop (1/40 or 2.5%) to the priest who lifts it up and it becomes sanctified (set apart) so that the balance of the crop too becomes sanctified.
We give our own lives as a First Fruit to YHWH our Elohim and this guarantees that we have ETERNAL LIFE (we will not die). So as we give our Terumah (First Fruits) to YHWH, He guarantees our harvest so that it will not die.

SECOND STEP – TITHE TO THE KINGDOM OF YHWH
TITHE TO YOURSELF
TITHE TO THE NEEDY

MALACHI 3:10-12 – “BRING ALL THE TITHES INTO THE STOREHOUSE AND LET THERE BE FOOD IN MY HOUSE. AND PLEASE PROVE ME IN THIS,” SAID YHWH OF HOSTS, “WHETHER I DO NOT OPEN FOR YOU THE WINDOWS OF THE HEAVENS, AND SHALL POUR OUT FOR YOU BOUNDLESS BLESSING.
AND I SHALL REBUKE THE DEVOURER FOR YOU SO THAT IT DOES NOT DESTROY THE FRUIT OF YOUR GROUND, NOR DOES THE VINE FAIL TO BEAR FRUIT FOR YOU IN THE FIELD.” SAID YHWH OF HOSTS.
“AND ALL THE NATIONS SHALL CALL YOU BLESSED, FOR YOU SHALL BE A LAND OF DELIGHTS” SAID YHWH OF HOSTS.

Giving the Terumah causes our harvest to be blessed and this is so that we can BECOME A BLESSING BY:
giving to the Kingdom of YHWH (the Storehouse) – this represent the place where you receive your spiritual food – ministries, etc.
giving to yourself – this represent a saving account that will be used for the blessing and benefit of your family
giving to the needy – this represents those who YHWH brings across your path that are in need one way or another.

DOING THE MATH

Based on an income of $1000
2.5% = $25
BALANCE = $975
10% OF $975 = $98
BALANCE = $877
10% OF $877 = $88
BALANCE = $789
$789 AMOUNTS TO 79% OF $1000 = THE CIRCLE IN THE SQUARE

FACT
The Jews in America constitute 4% of the entire American population and yet they control 40% of the finances in America. The above Torah principles are a way of life to the Jews! As Brad Scott would say, “ YHWH is much smarter than we are!” It pays to follow His Torah!

EXAMPLES OF TERUMAH

The Widow of Zaraphath
1KINGS 17:9-15
Elijah instructed the widow to FIRST MAKE HIM A SMALL CAKE FROM WHAT SHE HAD. This portion of her supply became a TERUMAH which, when offered caused neither her flour not to be used up nor her jar of oil to run dry.

The Loaves and Fishes
JOHN 6:5-14
The young lad’s small lunch was placed in Yeshua’s hands and as He lifted it up to YHWH and blessed it, it became a TERUMAH and was sufficient food to feed the thousands.

Yeshua’s Life
1 COR 15:20,23
BUT NOW MESSIAH HAS BEEN RAISED FROM THE DEAD AND HAS BECOME THE FIRST FRUIT (TERUMAH) OF THOSE HAVING FALLEN ASLEEP.
AND EACH IN HIS OWN ORDER: MESSIAH THE FIRST FRUITS, THEN THOSE WHO ARE OF MESSIAH AT HIS COMING (THE HARVEST).
JOHN 12:32
AND I, IF I BE LIFTED UP FROM THE EARTH (TERUMAH), WILL DRAW ALL MEN UNTO ME (THE HARVEST WILL BE BLESSED)

How does this apply to me?
MATT 6:33
BUT SEEK FIRST THE REIGN OF ELOHIM (FIRST DOING LIFE YHWH’S WAY) AND HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS (GIVING TO THE POOR AND NEEDY) - TERUMAH
AND ALL THESE (SEE VERSES 25 – 34) SHALL BE ADDED TO YOU – THE HARVEST.

Terumah is not just limited to our finances – it applies to every area of our lives.
Start the day by giving YHWH a Terumah of our day which amount to 36 minutes (2.5%!)
First make right with your brother so that your offering can be blessed (Matt 5:24)

EZEK 44:30
AND THE FIRST OF ALL THE FIRST FRUITS OF ALL KINDS AND EVERY OFFERING SHALL BELONG TO THE PRIESTS THAT A BLESSING MAY REST ON YOUR HOUSE.

Today there are no priests and Levites to bring our First Fruits, Tithes and Offerings to, but this does not void the principle of giving. Yeshua has given Gift Ministries to His Body (Ephesians 4:11) who still require our financial and prayer support. Each of us should follow YHWH’s instruction on where to give.
