You know if you tow...

- the roads are rough (that's putting it nicely),
- travel is slowed on rough roads to prevent incidents,
- that loads can shift if you don't drive to the conditions.
- that some drivers are impatient & maybe they don't know how to tow.

Should everyone learn to tow? I believe that just one drive to feel the difference would change driving habits.

If you tow you know...

- to give a fellow driver vision space after overtaking, Your large load can be blinding.
- to give yourself extra braking/stopping distance,
- to check tyre pressures, lights, load distribution & secure items safely.

Please be patient, everyone is trying to go somewhere!

I'm revisiting the FIA Smart Driving Challenge app.

We need more Aussies to fly the flag from around the world!
I'm not associated with FIA SDC, I'm just interested to see what result I can get.

I achieved my highest score today & it's maybe due to slower traffic in the storm on my way home.

I've also wondered how the app technology works in vehicles...?

When I started iDriveSim Training I shied from the fact that I was involved in grassroots Motorsport. I wanted to help drivers in need without scaring them. To my surprise I discovered that there are a lot of scared & stressed drivers on our community roads. Bold, over confident drivers only cause more hesitation & risk for these drivers.

As I've increased my driving & marketing experience, I see more clearly the urgent need for more driving knowledge & practice. I'm not the first to blaze this trail. Many have already travelled this path decades before me. I was keen to help & add my voice to the cause.

Yes I've been flooding posts with recent ESports events but this shared post also highlights why Motorsport is leading the way in driving skills. They know how a car reacts, the risks of high speed & the level of safety required.

Reflecting on the shared post regarding a recent race incident, wouldn't it be nice if more daily commuters showed the same respect to fellow drivers. I absolutely love how Emma conveys her Motorsport messages, a true winner 🏆🎉🏆

This happened last week during a simulated drive 😳
Three hazards at once & luckily I was recording the screen for client feedback.

If you practice the skills to do this, you’ll be better prepared to see & respond to real life challenges earlier.
How we drive has evolved, has anyone else noticed? I feel it’s more strategic than ever (& I’m still trying to find the perfect description). With the lack of concern for fellow drivers, various vehicle types etc, you really need to position your vehicle for better vision these days. Give yourself space, plan ahead & be prepared for another unaware commuter to take it at the last minute.

So… I tried the FIA Safe Driving Challenge App for the first time today.
FIA = Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (International Automobile Federation)

My interest in technology has certainly grown over the last few years. I’m cautious about sharing information & hesitated with this one but intrigue got the better of me after a couple of weeks. Others that I know maybe keen to dissect this one more 😊

I drove a familiar route to work, through suburbs, up the highway & an exit into another suburb. Along the way I wondered… how does it know I’m avoiding potholes, how does it know I’m changing lanes, how does it know road works & congestion. Obviously GPS tracking but the list of questions was growing.

I would rate myself as an average driver, say a 5-6/10. I know from training courses that this is a good score & I'm not over judging my performance. I think I’ll do a few more recordings to get a comparison.

Makes me wonder what else is my car technology recording? (I already have an idea 😉)

Australian Women in Motorsport of all ages are leading the way in the world of Esport so give them some support. Participants have just completed week 7 & are now preparing for the showcase finale. Just add ADRENALINE! 🥳🤩

They are fine tuning their knowledge, racecraft & consistency. It has been amazing to see this community grow & support each other 🇦🇺
