Five years. FIVE. And I almost forgot my own anniversary (whoopsie π€£)
I found out somewhere between my 1000th load of washing, 12 client tasks and zero sleep, because my Oliver was sick and wanted no one but me.
And look, I had a moment this week. The kind where you stare into the fridge at 9pm and consider handing in your resignation. To yourself. (Turns out you can't quit your own business. Rude.)
But then it hit me. If I worked for someone else, this week looks completely different. I don't get to drop everything for my sick child. My kids would be in care from 7 til 6, and everyone would get the leftover, touched out, weekend version of me. Instead I get THIS. The hard, messy, washing-everywhere version. But the one where I'm actually here.
If you're new around here, hi, I'm Clare.
Five years ago, post-COVID, my real estate role was being made redundant. On a colleague's nudge and a lot of determination, I threw myself into the VA world and was fully booked within a month. What started as just trying to get by became the thing I love most.
It's grown a lot since then. Today I work alongside women in business to bring structure, clarity and care to the way they run things. Strategy first, always. The support side is currently booked out, but my waitlist, mentoring and strategy sessions are open if you'd like to work together.
Five years of building something that fits around the people I love most. Where I get to be there for the school runs and the sick days, and still do work that genuinely lights me up.
And that's the part I'm proudest of. Not just that it's made it to five years, but that it gave me a life I'd choose again in a heartbeat.
So here's to five years. To the incredible women I get to work alongside every day, to my passion and to that chosen freedom.
Bring on the next five π
